Issues with downloading PDFs in ProQuest

October 13, 2015

It never rains… It seems that we are having a few issues with downloading PDFs from ProQuest at the moment. When you try to access the full-text PDF, you may find that there is a blank space where you would expect the PDF to display. However, if you look for the large, green download PDF button on the right-hand side, click on that instead and you should be able to open the PDF. We’re not sure at the moment if this affects all browsers/operating systems, and are working with the providers to resolve the issue. Apologies for any inconvenience.

ProQuest databases: interface upgrade shortly

August 4, 2015

This summer, ProQuest databases will be undergoing an upgrade that will see changes to the interface. The full details are available here. The interface will look a little different, and the upgrade will also include improved functionality to how the databases work on mobile devices, improvements to how full text documents are accessed as well as search results that are easier to navigate.

We’re interested to know what you think about these changes, so if you do have any feedback, get in touch with the Electronic Resources Librarian.
