Back home with OUP Journals

February 21, 2017

The – frankly bizarre – problem we were having with OUP thinking we were in Estonia, and not the University of Bolton, as been resolved.

Hopefully no more e-resources tourism now…!

A case of mistaken identity…?

February 13, 2017

Well this is a new one for me. We are experiencing problems linking to OUP Journals at the moment, with an error message appearing. I had thought that I managed to resolve this issue, but it would seem that the OUP Journals platform thinks I’m not at the University of Bolton, but at the University of Tartu. Which if you are curious (and I was…) is in Estonia. We’re working on it, and hope to restore mention of our true location as soon as possible!

OUP/Sage and Oxford Art Online problems resolved

February 9, 2015

It’s a happy Monday here in electronic resources corner…

The issues we were having with access to full-text content off-campus on both the Sage and OUP platforms appear to have been resolved, although just keep in mind that in the case of the latter, access off-campus is difficult, so make sure that you take a look at the access notes for this particular resource on the library website. The problems with Oxford Art Online have also been resolved, and that resource is working as it should.

Problems accessing Oxford Art Online

Having resolved one problem, we now have another… There is currently an issue with accessing Oxford Art Online. This due to a server update by the provider, and they are working to resolve the problem. Apologies for any inconvenience caused.

Sage/OUP access issues off-campus

January 27, 2015

And another one… We have hit upon a problem with off-campus access to Sage and OUP. When you find the article you wish to read and click on “Login via your institution” you may see a message to tell you that this particular type of authentication is not set up for this institution. This has been reported, and it is hoped it will be resolved as soon as possible. Again, apologies for any inconvenience caused.
